Standing as a proud part of the Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar on the blessed Bethany Hills, deriving the inner strength of truth and goodness from visionary Patrons, Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) inspires the aspirations of generations of knowledge seekers. Dedicated to produce morally upright, socially committed and intellectually trained engineers, the college strives to realize its dreams – “Duc In Altum” – Leading to the Heights of Excellence.
Having established hundreds of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools, industrial training institutes, teacher training colleges, first grade colleges, medical college and medicity, the Malankara Catholic Church’s long cherished dream of starting an engineering college was realized in July 2002 with the establishment of Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology. The College is administered by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum.
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the University of Kerala. MBCET was the winners of the Kerala Unversity Youth Festival 2014 which was the first time in the 30-year history of the festival that a privately-financed college was winning the final cup.

Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology strives for excellence in higher education, research and support services, by employing an integral approach to education, with the purpose of forming technically competent engineers, responsible citizens and epitomes of fundamental human values like commitment, compassion and optimism, who ought to be actively involved in creative nation building and enhancement of human existence.

Goals & Objectives
The college aims at achieving the integral development of human personality so as to ensure the possibility of living a fully human existence. It endeavours to contribute in placing spiritually inspired human beings at the centre of the Universe in the New Millennium, ensuring the creative use of Science and Technology in the context of a techno-centric life. In order to accomplish this, special endeavour will be made to enable the students:
