Achievements

  • IEEE Members of our Student Branch came up as the First Runners-Up of the Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind Competition 2011. The team received the prize from the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
  • The Student Branch Conducted a National level Conference COMNET 2010, on Communications and Networking in December 2010.
  • IEEE MBCET was awarded the BEST STUDENT BRANCH Award in Kerala in 2008. It was awarded to our student branch for our new ideas and commendable activities as a student branch.
  • WIE Care was a unique initiative of IEEE MBCET. It was a social activity for the under-privileged children, which was a great success and is still being conducted every year.
  • WIE Star is a training session and initial planning conducted for students to help them reach better heights. And our student branch spearheaded this program in the Kerala section.
  • The Student Branch co-hosted Argentum, silver jubilee celebrations at Trivandrum, and followed it up with a Tech Expo in which three of our innovative projects were selected.
  • IEEE MBCET Robotics Club bagged two prizes at the National Techfest Aaruush 2010, Chennai.
  • IEEE MBCET tied up with Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) for youth climatic movement which is of significance today in the backdrop of the international concerns regarding global warming and other climatic conditions of the world.
  • Former Chairperson Miss Achala J S was chosen as the Best WIE Volunteer award in IEEE LINK
  • Former Secretary Miss Dainy Daynesious was given the Exemplary Volunteerim Appreciation award in IEEE LINK
  • Miss Deepthi Anna George won the Richard E Merwin scholarship in 2011. She was among the first IEEE Computer Society members who won this prestigious scholarship from India.
  • Mr. Joji John Varghese‘s project “Smart Wearable Device” was one of the final 25 participants of Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind Competition 2013.
  • Members of IEEE MBCET led by Miss Dainy Daynesious was also among the finalists of Malayala Manorama Yuva Mastermind Competition 2013 for their project “S.T.A.R.K. Scientifically Trained Arm Robotic Kinesis”.
  • IEEE MBCET attended the IEEE Symposium on Education, Technology and Entrepreneurship (ISEE) 2013 in complete style with a record participation of 100+ participants.
  • Four members of IEEE MBCET got selected to attend the All India Students’ Congress (AISC) 2013 held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Coimbatore from October 3-6, 2013.
  • IEEE MBCET won the Darrel Chong Student Activity Award for organizing Kerala IEEE Technical Symposium [KITeS] 2012 along with IEEE SB College of Trivandrum (CET).
  • Miss Dainy Daynesious and her team consisting of members Anna Sony, Benjamin Mathews Abraham and Sristi Gupta won the Student Enterprise Award for their project “S.T.A.R.K. Scientifically Trained Arm Robotic Kinesis”
